A genuine artifact of the American counterculture. This is an original March 1970 issue of Big Fat Magazine — Volume 1, Number 2 — a radical underground press publication out of Ann Arbor, Michigan, the epicentre of the White Panther Party and the MC5 scene.

The cover poses the tantalizing question "Who Is This Man? See page fifteen" alongside a portrait strongly resembling Buddy Holly — a retrospective nod to one of rock's founding fathers. Inside, the lead article "Murder in My Heart for the Judge" dives deep into the Chicago Seven trial, featuring coverage of Abbie Hoffman, Jerry Rubin, and the cultural battle lines of late-'60s America — illustrated with a striking MC5-branded Corvette photograph. The back page features an original subscription ad, offering 12 issues for $2.50, based out of 117 West William, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Condition: Good. Shows honest age — wear throughout, yellowing of pages consistent with a 50+ year old newsprint publication, and a few small tears. Displays well and remains fully readable. A survivor, not a showpiece.

Ships carefully packaged to preserve its condition.
